Temporary Closure of ECT Euromax

Mark

Operations Manager

Jan 14, 2026

On January 17, 2026, ECT Euromax will switch to a new Terminal Operating System (TOS). To ensure this transition goes as smoothly as possible, activities at the terminal will already be limited starting Friday, January 16. This may affect your planning and cause delays across multiple modalities.

The terminal will close completely for all modalities on Friday, January 16. For road transport, the closure will apply from Friday, January 16 at 21:00 until Tuesday, January 20 at 09:00. After that, operations will cautiously resume with approximately 100 trips per day. Depending on findings, ECT may decide to scale up further.

Additional restrictions will also apply in the days leading up to the transition for empty containers and import shipments. Starting Monday, January 19, feeder, barge, and rail will only be handled to a limited extent. From Tuesday, January 20, a cautious restart of deep-sea operations will follow.

During the week of January 19–25, capacity for all modalities will be limited. This may result in longer lead times and adjusted schedules. Some vessels will be temporarily diverted to the ECT Delta terminal.

Our advice: keep following updates from shipping lines and other involved parties. Do you have questions or want to know the current status? Please contact your regular Berkman representative. We are happy to work with you to minimize the impact on your shipments as much as possible.
